Main Beach - Sausage and Salad Lunch for Leukaemia
Main Beach Park Managers Kim and Paul have been blown away by the generosity of park guests over the last 2 weeks.
The park has raised over $1500 in the last 2 weeks, on the 6th August almost $600 was raised for the Cancer Council at a Biggest Morning Tea held on site and on the 16th August the park raised almost $1,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation at our Sausage and Salad Lunch.

The Sausage and Salad lunch was attended by 120 guests who dined on Sausages and Salads. Our awesome volunteers again stepped up to enable the event to go ahead with a marathon 2 hour session cutting onions and tomato, making coleslaw and ceasar salad and cooking 300 sausages to feed our guests.
Multi Draw Raffles and Lucky Number boards were well supported enabling us to raise valuable funds for Leukaemia. Some guests where bought to tears by Park Manager Paul's moving talk on why the Leukaemia Foundation is so dear to his heart having battled and beaten the disease just 8 years ago and losing his Dad to lymphoma whilst being treated himself. Many other guests shared stories and tears with Kim and Paul of how they had also been touched by Leukaemia.
Kim and Paul and staff would like to thank everyone who contributed to make the event a memorable and successful day.
