This week at Burleigh Beach Tourist Park, we have been provided with action thanks to the 2011 Breaka Burleigh Pro. This ASP 4 Star World Surfing Tour event is being held at one of Australia’s classic point breaks and our very own front yard – Burleigh Beach.

Here at Burleigh Beach Tourist Park we were devastated watching the events of the Queensland Floods unfold before our eyes. Thankfully we weren’t directly affected here so we decided to do our bit and help those less fortunate in these times. The kids at Burleigh have been kept busy with a range of Christmas activities over the past few weeks.In our first Christmas activity, the kids wrote letters to Santa. There was alot of glitter, sparkles and glue used and the letters were sealed with a special Christmas stamp, sending them directly to the North Pole. A few days later, Alex, our resident manager got a very special mail delivery in the middle of the night from the North pole. Santa had written back to all of the letters!
Yesterday morning Burleigh Beach Tourist Park raised over $150 for the brain foundation at their charity morning tea. About 70 guests turned up to the event making it a huge success! Thank you to everyone who turned up and generously donated their money and time for such an important cause!
