Main Beach Guests enjoy a Fabulous Cruise to Brisbane

Last Thursday over 50 guests from the Main Beach Tourist Park (and 2 ring ins from the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park) boarded the MV Lady Brisbane for a 6 hour calm water cruise from Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast to Brett's Wharf in Brisbane.

We love to celebrate Birthday's at the Main Beach Tourist Park

We love to celebrate the birthday's of our guests at our Monthly Birthday Morning Teas.

Guests may be away from home for their birthdays but we love to make it special for them and celebrate each month's birthdays with delicious Mud Cake.

Main Beach is located in Prime position on the Gold Coast Marathon Course

Situated at approximately the 4km and 28km marks of the Gold Coast Marathon course - Main Beach is an excellent spot to watch the Gold Coast Marathon.

With a number of competitors staying in the park, the front of the park was a hive of activity as friends and family cheered on loved ones in the race.

MAIN BEACH GETS A VISIT FROM SOME INTERESTING WILDLIFE

On Monday afternoon the park was given a special treat when the team from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary visited the park bringing with them some interesting wildlife for guests to see and interact with.

Guests were very interested to see and hear about the blue tongue lizard and carpet python, but the crowd favourite was the baby crocodile.

Main Beach Guests - Bus Trip to Caravan & Camping Show

Park Manager, Paul hosted a bus trip to the Queensland Camping and Caravan Show on the 10th June.

Guests enjoyed getting up to date on the latest gidgets and gadgets for caravanning and surprisingly the annual trip to the show did not end up in a new caravan being purchased/ordered - well not that anyone will admit to anyway.

Bus trips are a favourite activity for Main Beach Winter guests - future bus trips are proposed for Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane Area showing the impact of floods, as well as a Gold Coast to Brisbane Boat Cruise with return bus.

BINGO'S BACK AT MAIN BEACH AND WE ARE SURE HAVING SOME FUN

A favouite winter activity for many of our lovely park guests is Main Beach Bingo.

Guests were in for a mental work out at Bingo this week as we spiced it up and played a few different games.   Guests were kept busy trying to work out how to win on our special games which included popular bingo games such as "The Quicky", "The Whinger" and many more.

Main Beach - Walk/Ride/Swim Around Australia - UPDATE

Main Beach guests are getting active this winter with our Physical Activity Challenge.  Guests are walking, riding and swimming around the beautiful Main Beach area in our bid to walk/ride/swim around Australia via Highway 1 (14,500km) by the end of winter.

Each week guests log the KM walked using pedometers issued by the park, KM ridden and KM swum and are keenly following our progress with our weekly updates.  Our first two weeks have seen us travel a total of 1,643km which means we have already walked from Main Beach to Sale (Victoria).

HAVE YOUR SAY - WINTER ACTIVTY SURVEY

The Park has designed a survey to determine which activities we should continue with this Winter period and gauge feedback on a host of new activities.

Guests receive the survey either on check in or if the guest is not staying with us until the end of June we have e-mailed the survey to all guests.  Every survey received back by Friday 17th June goes into the drawer for a Southport Surf Lifesaving Club Voucher.

YUM PANCAKES ARE BACK AT MAIN BEACH

Main Beach Guests enjoyed the first of our FREE pancacke breakfasts recently.

Guests enjoyed the beautiful fluff panackes with ice-cream, cream and topping.

Guests commented that they loved the breakfast in particular having an opporunity to get together and cook the pancakes and then enjoy them in the beautiful Queensland Sunshine.

MAIN BEACH GUESTS - WALK/RIDE/SWIM AROUND AUSTRALIA

Following the success of last years Walk Around Queensland Challenge where the parks guests collectively managed to walk around QLD twice, we have commenced a Physical Activity Challenge - where all guests have an opportunity to join us in walking/riding/swimming around Australia via Highway 1.    The journey around Australia is 14,500km, and we have started Week 1 off with a real bang having collectively travelled over 600km in our first week with only 13 participants which resulted in the average of 49km travelled by each participant.
