Darren Lockyer was one of a large number of Broncos supporters who got together at Ocean Beach to watch the big game against Manly.

Well actually it was a life-like poster of the retiring Broncos skipper but the rest of the guests were real!

It doesn’t take much of an excuse for the Ocean Beach Winter Crew to organise a get together – and Fathers Day was as good as any!

The word went out that the barbeque was being fired up and everyone was invited.

Just about everyone who hadn’t already organised a family celebration turned up for the festivities.

No one needed any encouragement to have a good time.

Every weekend for more than a month the Ocean Beach crowd has been enjoying a barbeque dinner at the Miami Beach Surf Lifesaving Club.

Unlike most of the larger clubs, Miami Beach doesn’t have a full time kitchen but recently club members have been volunteering their time to organise a gourmet Sunday barbeque fundraiser.
 
And the Ocean Beach crowd know a good feed when they see one!

Main Beach Tourist Park Managers, Kim and Paul Turner, are representing Gold Coast Tourist Parks this weekend at the Toowoomba Outdoor Adventure and Motoring show. 

Our stand at the show is giving us the chance to promote our 7 magnificent parks, owned by the Gold Coast City Council and located in prime positions from the southern end at Kirra Beach to Jacobs Well in the North.
