Clean up Austalia Day at Broadwater Tourist Park

Sunday 7th March was the 20th Anniversary of Clean up Australia Day. The Broadwater Tourist Park was proud to participate with thousands of other Australians in improving their local area and making a difference to our little corner of the world.

Our group of volunteers managed to pick up eleven bags of rubbish, much of which was able to be recycled. Most of the rubbished collected had been washed up along the foreshore, and cigarette butts seemed to be the most common rubbish found. Luckily, the weather held out for us and we even managed to have fun, whilst doing some good! A big thank you to all who volunteered their Sunday morning. We look forward to an even bigger turn out next year.
