The sun is shining again at Main Beach so time for Pancakes again.....

After a fairly bleek week with the weather it was good to see the sun out shining again just in time for our Pancake Breakfast this week.   After having to postpone a few events due to the weather this week including our legendary Barefoot Bowls the guests were well and truly ready to sit back and relax in the beautiful Gold Coast Sunshine.   What a difference 24 hours can make with the weather, a few guests have even been heard to say "gees isn't it hot and muggy" - perfect Queensland weather we say.

BIRTHDAY'S ARE CELEBRATED AT MAIN BEACH

Each month during Winter Main Beach has a monthly Birthday Morning Tea with cake and coffee to celebrate everyone who has had a birthday during the month.

It is a great chance for guests to come together in a relaxed environment with friends (old and new) to celebrate each others Birthday's.

Christmas in July at Ocean Beach

It was a full house at Ocean Beach as guests sat down for their annual festive feast.

All the trimmings of a traditional Christmas offering were served up and it was all washed down with plenty of Christmas cheer!

"It's always one of the highlights of our trip north every year," said Bill of Manangatang.

Ocean Beach always puts on plenty of functions and outings for the winter crowd but it's hard to top a bit of Yuletide Revelry!

Also planned over the next month are a mystery bus tour, pizza night, morning teas and soup nights.

Trivia for Charity

Bob and Marja Howse, who are one of our regular winter guests and do a fantastic job in organising the trivia afternoon at Broadwater. This year the proceeds are going to the Animal welfare League. Everyone had a great afternoon. The winning team was the knitwits a team of six of our regular winter guests.

Main Beach Have a Blast at Xmas in July

Main Beach guests were treated to beautiful weather for this year's Xmas in July Lunch.

125 guests dined on a fabulous roast dinner and downed a few glasses of wine and beer whilst being entertained by the fabulous "Abbie".

A visit by santa was a highlight with many guests taking up the opportunity to get a photo with the big man himself.  Some even got to sit on Santa's lap.

MAIN BEACH WALK AROUND QLD CELEBRATION LUNCH

Particiapants in the Main Beach Walk Around Queensland Challenge were treated to a celebration lunch this week to celebrate their awesome effort of walking around QLD in 6 weeks.   A total of 45 guests participated at one point or another during the 6 week challenge.

Guests enjoyed a lunch of tasty subs and cookies from the Main Beach Subway.  

Over lunch guests chatted and were updated on some of the vital stats on our first lap of Queensland.

It was very interesting to note some of the key stats:

Outback Spectacular – A fantastic night out for Main Beach Guests

Main Beach guests were treated to a great night out this week when Park Manager Paul escorted them to the Australian Outback Spectacular.   Guests commented that it was one of the greatest shows they have ever seen.

The trip was very popular with 45 guests enjoying a great night, many relished the chance to have a few drinks and enjoyed being chauffered around by Paul.
