At Gold Coast Tourist Parks, we know that pets are part of the family and believe they should be included in your holiday adventures. That's why Jacobs Well and Kirra Beach Tourist Parks welcome your furry friends year-round!

These two parks offer a range of pet-friendly accommodation options including cabins and powered caravan sites. With nearby dog-friendly beaches, designated pet-friendly areas in park, and amenities like a dog wash station, we make it easy and enjoyable to travel with your pets.

Our pet-friendly parks

Jacobs Well Tourist Park

Situated on the waterways of southern Moreton Bay, Jacobs Well a haven for fishing and boating enthusiasts. Pet-friendly facilities at Jacobs Well include:

  • Dog-friendly powered sites, either grassed or featuring a concrete slab. Sites vary in size and are suitable for vans or camper trailers.
  • Dog-friendly cabins with a fenced dog park just steps away.
  • Dog on-leash beach area adjacent the park, excluding the foreshore surrounding the swimming enclosure.
  • Mobile dog groomer available in the park during select periods.

Kirra Beach Tourist Park

This spacious, tree-lined park is pet-friendly and located just steps from the iconic beaches of Kirra and Coolangatta. Pet-friendly facilities at Kirra Beach include:

  • Dog-friendly cabins featuring a balcony with pet-proof screen and secured with gate access.
  • Dog-friendly powered sites, either grassed or featuring a concrete slab. These sites are suitable for vans or camper trailers.
  • Designated dog-friendly zones within the park.
  • A grassy parkland on the boundary of the park, perfect for the dogs to run around and play fetch.
  • Dog wash station located near the pool. Make sure to ask for your free dog wash token upon arrival!
  • 2 off-leash dog beaches located within a 5-10 minute drive of the park.

Pet-friendly cafés & restaurants

A holiday with your four-legged friend wouldn’t be complete without a good coffee (or cold drink) stop. Luckily, there are plenty of venues near our parks that welcome your furry friends.

  • Jacobs Well Hotel – Just a short stroll from Jacobs Well Tourist Park, the Jacobs Well Hotel is a favourite with locals and visitors alike. Its relaxed beer garden is dog-friendly, making it an easy option for a casual lunch or afternoon drink.
  • Haig St Café, Kirra – Located just across the road from beautiful Kirra Beach, Haig St Café is a popular spot for a coffee and bite to eat. The outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a coffee with your dog before hitting the beach.
  • Dune Café, Palm Beach – Located near the Palm Beach dog exercise area, Dune Café is a great post-walk option. With outdoor seating and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a convenient place to grab a coffee or meal while your dog enjoys a rest after a run on the beach.

Pet-friendly beaches & parks

The Gold Coast offers a range of off-leash beaches and green spaces close to our parks, giving your pup plenty of room to stretch their legs.

Off-leash beaches

  • The Spit – A well-known off-leash dog beach on the northern Gold Coast, The Spit offers long stretches of sand and open space for dogs to run and play.
  • Palm Beach – The southern end of Palm Beach is another popular off-leash option, offering a mix of beach and calmer water areas that suit dogs of all sizes. It’s an easy day trip from our southern parks and a favourite among local dog owners.

Off-leash parks and green spaces

  • Goodwin Park, Coolangatta – Goodwin Park offers an off-leash area in a relaxed, local setting. It’s a convenient spot if you're staying at Kirra Beach Tourist Park.
  • Riesenweber Park, Jacobs Well – Directly next to Jacobs Well Tourist Park, Riesenweber Park is an easy and convenient exercise option for guests. This off-leash green space allows dogs to play and explore just steps from your accommodation.
  • Pizzey Park, Miami – Pizzey Park is one of the Gold Coast’s largest green spaces and includes designated off-leash areas where dogs can run freely. With plenty of room to roam, it’s ideal for longer walks or a game of fetch.
